Ask the Dentist : Pwede ka magpabraces. Medyo mas mataas ang price na sa karaniwan. Siguruhin mo lang na dentist ang napuntahan mo. May nago-ortho na sayo kaya hindi magandang sagutin kung magkano. Mawawalan ka lang ng tiwala sa dentist mo. Kung may duda ka sa dentist mo, magpalit ka na ng dentist.

Splint in Manila

Jenny : Hi doc. Nagtanong na po ako sa inyo before tungkol sa braces. But my dentist didn’t pursue installing mine kasi may TMJ disorder po ako. So she suggested na ipa treat ko daw muna yun. May alam po ba kayung cheap treatment plan dito?

Ask the Dentist : Patingin ng xray kung may TMJ Disorder ka nga.

Jenny : Nako nasa kanya na po eh. Wala akong copy. Pero may clicking sound and lahat naman ng dentist na pinuntahan ko yun, cnonfirm na may TMD nga, The thing is, iba iba kasi sila ng sinasabing treatment eh. Yung isa pwede na daw braces, Yung isa I should wear splint while having braces. And itong latest na sa kanya na talaga ako magpapabrace, recommended na ipa therapy ko muna sa TMJ specialist for 6 months before nya ao kabitan.

Ask the Dentist : Hehehe! Free ang pagtulong ko sayo. Sa akin ka magtiwala, walang money na involved. Kita lahat sa X ray. Sabihan mo, picture-an mo lang. Picture lang para makita ko. Pero syempre, malinaw na cam ang gamitin mo. Malaki ang probability na hindi yan TMD. Pero para sigurado, send mo ang picture ng xray.

Ask the Dentist : Madalang na madalang ang pangangailangan ng splint. Karamihan ng dentist madalas magoffer ng splint dahil malaki ang kita sa splint.

Jenny : So anung treatment po? Yung therapy talaga? May idea po ba kayo how much?

Ask the Dentist : Kung hindi pa nagstart ang braces, sayo yun, hindi sa kanya.

Jenny : Wala po kasi eh Nasa kanya na. Pero pag ang patient niyo may TMD, anung nirerecommend nyo?

Ask the Dentist : Picture-an mo next na bisita mo sa kanya. Sa ngayon hindi kita masagot dahil wala akong basehan sa isasagot ko.

Ask the Dentist : Oo. Dahil hindi lahat ng dentist magaling. Madami pera pera lang.

Jenny : Pero I believe naman po na mat TMD talaga ako kasi may clicking sound. My only concern is the different advices I receive from every dentist I go to. So hindi ko alam kung sinong papaniwalaan.

All Porcelain Crown Cost

Anna-Leen : Hi Doc, magandang araw. Nagpa consult po ako sa dentist kahapon dahil sumasakit ang ipin ko. Ipina root canal ko po back in 2012 tapos masakit na naman po. In-X ray po at may infection nga daw po ulit. Quoted price is 10K for root canal & papalitan crown ko sa 2 front teeth at 20K each. May ma-advise ka po ba na mas mura? Salamat Doc. Ordinaryong uring manggagawa (proletariat) lamang po kasi ako.

Ask the Dentist : Ang all porcelain crown usually nagkakahalaga ng 20K pataas. Ang problem kung minsan porcelain fused to metal crown ay pwede ding 20K pataas sa ibang clinic tulad sa high end na clinics lalo na sa mall.

Anna-Leen : I think so Doc, sabi nya ay yung pati loob e may porcelain para daw hindi mag reflect (ng pangingitim) yung may metal.Not sure sa term, parang porcelain butt ung sinabi nya.

Ask the Dentist : Ilang ngipin ang i-rct? Kung gusto mo makamura, wag sa mall. Magtanong tanong ka. Bale sa pagtatanong mo sa iba’t ibang cliic, kunin mo average price. Tapos average price saka mo naman tignan ang gamit nila. Dapat may x ray yan. Bawatstep may x ray ang RCT.
Anong name ng dentist? Hehehe! Parang natuto sa akin yan ah. Hanap ka ng all ceramics. 20K usually ang price sa all ceramics. Kung may butt, malamang na may metal yan.

I just want to ask that if I have missing tooth on my upper teeth such as the 1st bicuspid and 2nd bicuspid can I still have braces?I really don’t have good alignment on my teeth thats why Im thinking of having of braces..Would it be possible?Please do give me advice..I want to know before I go to my dentist.Thanks in advance.Godbless..

Gaano Katagal ang Braces

Normi : Good evening, doc. Last October 2012 nagpabraces po ako sa kamag anak namin na dentist. Sungki po kasi and patong patong yung ngipin. Pinastahan lahat ng sira bago po ako binrace. Regularly every month po ako nagpapaadjust and checkup sa dentist ko. The last time I went there, plano na po na magretainer na ako. Di ko po sure kung mabilis yun or fahil nabuo ko na yung 30k na package ko. But okay na po ngipin ko, by that I mean pantay na and maayos na ang bite. But recently, napreggy po ang dentist and is an bed rest po. Ilang months na ako di nakavisit kasi nasa province sya. Kinonsulta ko sa ibang dentist wala pa daw ako sa third stage? Inexplain ko po na balak na ako iretainer ng dentist ko the last time we talked. Gaano po ba katagal dapat yung sa braces? Thanks, doc.

Paula : magkano po mag parct? may pinastahan po kasi sakin matagal na mga 2years ago. sumasakit na po siya ngayon. nabasa ko po sa website nyo na may same na tanong na iparct. saan po ba ang clinic nyo doc?

Paula : doc sobrang sakit nung tooth ko sa taas. pangalawa po sa dulo pa din..2 araw na po ako umiinom ng mefanamic acid at nagmumumog ng apple cider pero masakit pa dn lalo na kapag nabubunggo ng cheek, dila o kutsara, tinry ko po galawin at medyo nagagalaw ko po siya. kapag tinulak ko palabas d po gaanong masakit kapag paloob po sobrang sakit. ano po kayang gagawin ko?
